The project is in the environmental analysis and preliminary design phase. The Project Team is gathering information and analyzing data to define transportation and community needs in the project area. Preliminary alternatives will go through a preliminary screening process with a smaller number of alternatives carried forward for more detailed analysis.
The public and stakeholders will be informed throughout the process with a chance to share their questions and feedback. Stakeholder groups include a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) and an Environmental Justice (EJ) Working Group.
Touchpoints and available resources include a project office, project website, social media channels, project e-mails and text alerts, stakeholder meetings, public meetings and a public hearing that will be followed by a public comment period.
The CAC is a group of stakeholders that discusses project-related issues, and members serve as liaisons between the community or organization they represent and the Project Team.
EJ Working Group members primarily focus on issues that have the potential to impact low-income or minority populations, and they also serve in an important advisory role throughout the project.
Consulting Party members are comprised of the State Historic Preservation Officer, Tribes, local governments, and local/state organizations involved in historic preservation.
